On alesse birthcontrol, started spotting a week b4 im suppose to get my period. i have 3 pills left before the sugar pill, can i not take the last 3?

Take the last 3: Alesse is a very low dose estrogen and progesterone birth control pill, which means it has just enough hormone to prevent pregnancy but not enough to completely prevent spotting. Take the 3 pills as prescribed and talk to your health professional about possibly changing to a slightly higher dose estrogen/progesterone pill.
