Won't prevent preg..: The first thing to do is to make sure it is really a yeast infection by having a doctor take a sample and look under the microscope. Don't assume. If it is verified as a persistent yeast infection there are some good treatments. Diflucan (fluconazole) by mouth for 6 months is a common treatment. Sometimes VAGINAL Boric acid is used. Avoid washing socks with underwear and use probiotics. Best wishes!

No: A yeast infection for sure wont prevent pregnancy. It comes from an overgrowth of yeast in the ever changing environments, it groows best in warm and wet places (mouth, vagina, intertriginous areas in your skin). Best too prevent by eating yogurt to repopulate with the good bacteria. Treating with specific anti fungal medications. Hope this helps.
