Almost certain: Almost everybody (80-90%) gets genital HPV at one time or another. Most people have several infections during their sexual lives. Happily, most infections cause no significant health problem; and the potentially serious outcomes (like cervical or anal cancer) can be prevented with standard medical care. And you can be vaccinated to prevent infection with 4 of the most important types of HPV.

It is common but: If one is sexually active and has multiple partners than the risk of HPV infection is very high If a college woman has at least one different partner per year for four years, her likelihood of contacting HPV infection is 85% It can be prevented by sexual abstinence, use of condom, monogonous relationship and by HPV Vaccine
