A member asked:

Is it normal to have a short period on birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Birth control pills typically make menses shorter, lighter, and less painful. Many of the newer pills make periods only a day or two, or make you even have no periods. Other types of birth control such as the NuvaRing, Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD, Liletta IUD, and Nexplanon also typically make periods shorter or none at all.
