Yes, but: For the most part there are no noticeable side effects except physical, however some men can suffer from fertility and hormonal issues. On the other hand if removal of one testicle is medically necessary then certainly benefits overweight the risks. One should discuss this in detail with the surgeon before giving the permission to have it done!
