Yes: birth control pills can be used as emergency contraceptive. first, the birth control pill has to contain Ethinyl estradiol. different brands of pills come with different amounts of ethinyl estradiol. about 100 µg of Ethinyl estradiol per 24 hours given for 48 hours has shown to be an effective emergency contraceptive.
