Ask the provider: It will be best to discuss this w/ the provider until it makes sense to you. It's not fully involuntary, but this is too complex to explain here. In general Biofeedback provides evidence of what's happening inside you so that you can learn the associated sensations. Talk to one who does it and can demonstrate it to you.
