No dilation: Sex can cause release of hormones that can cause contractions and help bring on labor - as can manipulation of the nipples (probably safer and more comfortable) Every woman handles labor differently - it is true labor - if so - failure to progress (no dilation) may require the OB to intervene - hope that helps
