Possibly: HPV can certainly be located in the oral cavity (although with a much lower frequency than the genital region) and is associated with an increased risk of throat and oral cancer but it would be very unlikely to show up at your age. A swab of your mouth and throat can be sent and tested for HPV if you would like to know for sure.For more information: www.AskYourGynecologist.org

Oral HPV is possible: It is possible. But how likely it is depends on your risks of exposure to this infection (i.e., oral sex), and what it looks like ("lesion" could be anything from an ulcer [hole] to a flat spot to a bump...). If you can see it and it looks like a wart or bit of tissue sticking out, then it is more likely to be HPV-related. Biopsy will tell for sure, and then it can be treated appropriately.

Yes, it is possible to transmit high risk HPV strain to oropharynx through close genital contact.

That would be most likely during the initial 2 years of infection when shedding of the virus is common. Once it goes dormant it is less a risk, but always a possibility.
