I just had a vaginal biopsy that says "squamous mucosa with hyperkeratosis & focal changes suggestive of but not diagnosic for hpv effect. meaning?

Need for HPV on PAP: First the good news is that no tumor was seen on biopsy. However, there is need to do a DNA test to detect HPV infection. You do not need a biopsy for that as the test can be done with a PAP smear. Please follow your doctor's advise for follow up tests.
