Nothing is perfect: If you are taking the depo-provera shot as prescribed, have not missed any shots then you should be protected from pregnancy. However, the only 100% effective birth control is never being exposed to sperm or not having an intact Uterus, ovaries and tubes. Therefore, take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
