A member asked:

If had i protected sex 5 days ago & i take the morning after pill today what is the effective percentage & could i still get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No help: The morning after pill is only effective within 72 hours of unprotected sex. The closer to the time, the higher its effectiveness. Taking it now will only expose you to unnecessary hormones. You should consider better birth control such as the pill or IUD if you are active and wanting to avoid pregnancy.
