I have anal pain, when i'm on the toilet and when i'm not. it's almost as if the hole is too tight and i get spasms. i feel like i can't wipe properly?

Anal pain: It sounds like you may have an anal fissure. Get checked by your doctor. There are some very effective numbing medicines they can prescribe to use while it is healing if that is the case.

Need more info: Not an uncommon complaint. The best thing is for you to be examined by your family physician and/or a gastroenterologist. If this is a new problem a simple digital rectal exam may be able to make a diagnosis. Don't delay because wishing won't make it go away.

Proctalgia: Spasm due to irritation, inflammation, manipulation or anal sex. No matter what, you will need to see a physician for a full rectal exam and anoscopy ( mafnified view of the rectum). Certainly internal hemorrrhoids, fissures, fistulas etc cuts must be evaluated.

Rectal pain: Rectal pain thought to be due to spasm of the anal sphincter or pelvic floor muscles. There are multiple causes for this condition includes: irritable bowel syndrome, fissure, hemorrhoid, constipation, Inflammatory bowel disease, depression and anxiety, please see a Gasteroenerologist for a possible proctoscopy or colonoscopy.
