A member asked:

Been on birth control for 21 days after 7 days i had unprotected sex. im now 3 days late but cramping. am i pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BCP's/pregnancy: Pregnancy can occur "on birth control pills" by not starting them 5-7 days after a period. Early ovulation can occur if starting the pills "late" in a cycle, and even if taken "on time" does not protect against pregnancy. Cramping can also signify implantation of a fertilized egg, so obtain a serum pregnancy test (not uringe) to be certainl
