Herpes is caused by the HSV-s (Virus), so any correlation to grooming/shaving would only be related to the sharing of an infected persons razor, or getting open nicks that would increase the risk of a viral infection through that nidus. Groom away-just use a clean razor and get a close , clean shave!

Possibly: There is some data - though not great - that shaving your pubic hair increases the risk of herpes infections. It's not great data though!
