A member asked:

Is it safe for me to skip my placebo's twice in a row for alesse 21 so i have no period or bad cramps for 2 months? its my second month on the pill.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: There are no studies that have yet to show that skipping your period by not taking the placebo has an harmful effects on your health. You may not be able to continue filling your prescription early on a continuous basis, however. If this is the approach you want to take, consider taking a birth control pill that's made for this use - such as Lybrel, Seasonale, or Seasonique. Best wishes.
