Is it possible to get pregnant by having sex just three days before expected period date?

Unlikely: One gets pregnant during ovulation not during menstruation. Ovulation occurs usually just shy of half way through a cycle. Sperm in the vagina cause pregnancy if left on any of the five days leading up to ovulation and not after ovulation.

Potentially pregnant: Given that male sperm can survive up to 5 days and a woman may ovulate as early as day 10 of her cycle, intercourse on day 8 of her cycle could potentially result in a pregnancy.
