LARC methods: Estrogen containing contraceptives are contraindicated in women with FACTOR V LEIDEN DEFICIENCY. However evidence supports the safe use of progestin only contraceptives - LNG IUD(Mirena (levonorgestrel) or Skyla), Implant (Nexplanon), DMPA, POPs, or the nonhormomal copper IUD (Paragard). Barrier methods are obviously safe but less effective.
