Bacteria: A change in the bacterial milieu will have a different odor than usual. This could be from an infection, from stress-induced changes, from dietary changes, from a foreign body (like a forgotten tampon). If it really smells bad, you should go to your doctor.

See an OB/GYN: This is not normal and you should be seen by an ob/gyn who will do a history and physical exam in an effort to diagnose and correct this problem. It is doubtful that this has anything to do with your sexual partner.
