A member asked:

Can a birth control be too "weak" to protect me? im having 2 periods, a normal and a placebo one.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: The Progesterone in the pill provides the contraception and the estrogen regulates the cycle. The estrogen is what is lower in a low dose pill. However, the effectiveness of pills drops in women who weigh more than 170 pounds and the more over 170 you are the more it drops.
