Menstrual Cycle: Chance of pregnancy is unlikely as the egg lifespan after ovulation is only several days and when you start the bleeding portion of the cycle means approximately 14 days have passed since ovulation. Implantation of a fertilized egg while bleeding is also close to impossible.

Yes: Yes. If you are not using contraception you can get pregnant. But if you started your period 10 days after sex. You are probably not pregnant. Take a test to be sure

Take the test: If you want to know if you are pregnant, take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.

When in doubt check: if you are 100% compliant with your pill you are likely not to be pregnant but it is not a sure thing. ovulation ( and thus the optimal time to conceive-get pregnant) is day 14 of your menstrual cycle. if your period is coming up and you had sex a week or two ago you would be in that time frame. when in doubt...check. take a home preg test if your menses does not come as expected.

Doubtful: Never say never but when you are on your period there are no eggs to fertilize. Ovulation occurs roughly mid cycle. That is when you can get pregnant.
