In some women it can: At your age 44 u should be on the lowest dose pills which would be loloestrin, only 10 mcg estrogen and if u want no more children i rec in office essure tubal, takes 5 minutes , no cutting, you are awake easy no down time just miss 1/2 day of work speak to your gyn.
