A member asked:

I got my first depo-provera shot on march 18, to stop my heavy continual vaginal bleeding. it worked but in 5 days i broke out with a rash. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rash: It is possible to develop an allergic reaction following a Depo-Provera injection. I would think that a reaction would occur sooner than described. Try to think of other sources that may cause a rash ie. Change in detergents, soap, shampoo, certain foods. With depo, once injected, you cannot "stop" taking the drug. It is designed to last 3 months.
