A member asked:

On birth control and have a clear thick and stretchy discharge streaked with white? does this mean that my birth control isn't working? ovulation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's working: As long as you're taking your birth control pills correctly, then you should assume it's working. Your discharge can change even on birth control pills. And even if you ovulate, the birth control pills work in other ways. They can also thicken the cervical mucus and prevent sperm from penetrating. Having said that, every method has a small failure rate.
