Med vs laser ..: I am not sure if there is truly a cure, but there are treatments. Depending on the severe and extent (how large an area), bleaching cream such as lustra (hydroquinone) (actually otc) may help..But will re-darken with exposure to the sun. Laser treatments actually destroy the pigment-producing cells and thus more permanent. Would first check with doc to make sure pigmented area/moles not cancerous..Good luck.
