Depoprovera: One of the side effects of the depoprovera shot is an increased appetite. Some notice it more than others. How much and how one responds to it will vary from person to person. Once you stop taking it then you will no longer have this side effect. Medication side effects stop when the medication is out of your system.

It should: Decrease after it has worn off but not while it is still in effect if you are having this problem. Weight gain is a problem for some women on the depot shot. Sorry you had this side effect.
