Not overall: Overall, there are 3 times the number of STDs found in the us in women than men. However, much of that could be because women are screened far more often than men because of gyn appts and testing. Others like syphilis are 6 times more likely in men than women. Just depends on the std discussed and the person.

STDs: Stds can and do occur in both men and women. Since it is common for stds (sexually transmitted diseases) to occur due to sexual intercourse/activity, both men and women are potentially infected.
