Need to get examined: There are many reasons why women may bleed with intercourse. Some common causes include: a small tear or trauma, a cervical or uterine polyp, or an infection, including a sexually transmitted infection. It is only possible to help you if you get examined and tested.

Unsure: The only sure way to know why your are bleeding after sex is to see your doctor for an exam. If it only happened once and does not happen again you should not worry, but if it recurs - see your doctor.
