When a vaginal cyst on the top labia has to be drained does the numbing needle inserted to the cysts hurt?

Yes, for a second: The numbing needle only hurts for about 2 seconds and then the medicine immediately takes over. Initially the medicine can have a burning sensation, but then turns totally numb. It happens so fast you really don't have time to think about it.... Thank goodness, right?
