How does nonoxynol-9 stop sperm?

Sperm motility: N-9 present in most spermicidal compounds, many condoms and vaginal diaphrams. It interferes with cell walls of sperm to make them non-motile. It is only 80-90% effective and thus 10-20% not effective.
