See answer: 3 most common types of vaginitis are bacterial vaginosis (overgrowth of normal vaginal bacteria), yeast/fungal; and trichomonas (t). Only the latter (t) can generally be sexually transmitted and is usually asymptomatic . Recommend good soap and water hygiene for male and observation for any new or persistent signs or symptoms and if present, consider then getting an exam.
