Rare: Fortunately complications following circumcision are fairly rare. When they do occur, however, it may be related to small amounts of bleeding or swelling at the incision site. There can also be some separation of the skin edges if too much tissue trauma or rubbing occurs before proper healing. Rest assured that circumcisions are typically very safe and very beneficial for men in the long run.

Uncommon: Occasionally there is bleeding or a hematoma. More occasionally an inclusion cyst under suture line. Infection very rare because penis has an excellent blood supply.
