Almost: Plan b in effective within 72 hours of unprotected sex, however the closer to the time of intercourse the better. I'm not sure with the different time zones but you are likely close to the 72 hour mark.

Best before 72 hours: Plan b works best if you use it within 72 hours after sex. It works moderately well within 120 hours. Please talk with your provider about a reliable form of birth control which will work for you and your partner. Good luck!

Emergency contracept: As dr. Yep said Plan B is best withing 72 hours but somewhat effective up to 5 days, that is... If you weight under 170 pounds. Better choice is Ella (ulipristal acetate) ( ullipristal) up to 5 days or have the copper iud ( paragard) placed up to 7 days after unprotected sex. With the iud you are then protected ongoing.
