Time: Sometimes this side effect will pass with time. Sometimes requires lowering the dose. Various augmentation strategies have been tried to knock out the side effect. Your husband's psychiatrist should be well acquainted all of them. I recommend that you have your husband discuss this with his psychiatrist. None of the medications that are used are approved specifically for that purpose and will be used in an off label fashion.

Celexa (citalopram): Celexa and other ssri's can cause sexual side effects like delayed ejaculation, etc. Sometimes this is a dose-related effect, and function recovers with dose adjustment. Sometimes it requires change to a different medication less likely to cause this problem. Other times, adding wellbutrin (bupropion) or gingko -- under doctor's supervision -- helps. Your husband's physician is the one to ask about options.
