A member asked:

Is it possible for you to apply clotrimazole cream on herpes simplex?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's possible: Sure, you can do that. It won't help the herpes eruption, though. Clotriazole treats fungus so, it would only be useful for a fungal superinfection of the rash. To treat herpes, you would need to use oral medication which is sometimes combined with topical soothing treatments.
