Yes darkened color: Patients with sustained severe blunt trauma sometimes related to surgery can result in hematocele (localized blood collection).Physical examination often reveals a swollen, tender testicle with a visible hematoma.Scrotal or perineal ecchymosis (redness) may be present.

Darker scrotal skin: Yes, but this will be temporary. As the hematocele clears, any overlying skin discoloration should go away also.
