Plan b: Plan b is more likely to work if you take it very soon after unprotected sex. It is best within the 72-hour ~ 89% effective. It doesn't expire after 72 hrs, it can work for as long as 5days after having unprotected sex. There are many other factors besides the window above. I suggest you get a pregnancy test if you miss your period. If positive see a doctor; Plan B does not give 100% protection.
