Not typically: It would not be typical at all to ovulate 2-3 days before your cycle. That would not give the cycle enough time for the glands of the uterus to mature, and then shed as they need to in preparation for menses. It's possible that what you have is breakthrough bleeding, as opposed to a true cycle.
