Leg discoloration.: Thr brownish leg discoloration which happens as a result of venous insufficiency is due to long standing increased back pressure in the veins especially around the medial ankle area. This high pressure leads to leakage of blood cells into the skin resulting in brownish discoloration. The discoloration is not reversible but could lighten by reducing the venous pressure and using emollients.
