Herpes simplex: I would imagine that your doctor would let you know if they felt that you had been tested antibody positive so that there would not be transmission of the virus to your baby during passage through the vagina at time of delivery, but do not know if that is a universal standard of care. If you have had prior genital herpes you should discuss this with your obstetrician.
