Not really: There are couple conditions that could explain this sensation of ripping, one vulvodynia and another skin condition called lichen sclerosis. Vaginitis could also cause this tearing sensation. The vula and vagina are very forgiving organs and usually conform to the partners organ.

Unhealthy skin: Skin at bottom of vaginal opening is under tension, as many muscles connect here. It can b very thin & sometimes more fragile if vaginal inflammation but often scarring from childbirth. Xs pelvic muscle tone can also pull making skin thinner. Intercourse can cause a very fine split that is very painful- kind of like yawning when you have chapped lips. To correct: correct vaginitis or muscle tone.
