Rape: If a man committed rape and 'got away with it because it was not reported' means that this person has some serious issues - i would recommend therapy.

Is he remorseful?: Does he have a conscience? If the answer to these two questions is "no" then he will not be likely to benefit from therapy. Incarceration can however be a deterrent for rapists.
