yes: Caused by coxsackie virus passed on in same household -of short duration with vesicles in hard and soft palate preceded by ulcers not that painful -last only a few days -no treatment necessary.

For kids: Kids usually have this virus and it is self limiting. In other words there are no effective treatments for this. Antivirals don't do well against it nor antibiotics. Adults have much less to worry about with this enterovirus.
