1 doctor answer
Dr. Daniel Rubenstein

Herpangina: Usually occurs in children but can occur in anyone. It is a viral infection and it is contagious. Patients usually develop ulcers in the back of the throat, with a resulting sore throat and fever. The infection clears up in 7-10 days.
