Exercise after vascular surgery is it good?

Yes: The purpose of vascular surgery is to hopefully restore you to being a functional person! it is ok to exercise after most vascular operations, however, i typically advise patients to take it easy for the first 8 weeks following surgery to allow the wounds to properly heal.

Once healed then YES: In general, exercise is good for your cardiovascular health & help to maintain & restore circulatory function. It also minimizes the risk of blood blots & can help collateral circulation to develop. It is even one of the primary therapies for claudication. But you need to make sure that adequate healing occurs first so check with your vascular surgeon. Usually you can start back fairly quickly.
