Are swollen taste buds normal while pregnant?

Not really: Sometimes your taste can change during pregnancy because of the change in hormones. Your gum tissues can swell, but swollen taste buds is not typically related to pregnancy.

Be more specific!.: Where in your tongue are these "swollen taste buds"? Your tongue has 4 diferent types of taste buds, if your worrisome taste buds are towards your throat at the back of your tongue this taste buds may appear swollen when in fact they are normal (circumvallate papillae). Nutrional deficiencies can alter the appearance of your tongue and sometimes make more sensitive - irritable. See your doctor!
