Many possibilities: If the meat had bad germs on it, or had toxic materials made by the germs, then one could get sick. But, that would depend on what the contaminant was, how much of the contaminant was eaten, how good one's body is at counteracting the contaminant, and other factors. If the spoiled meat was well cooked, it would be pretty safe, unless there were toxins able to survive cooking. Hard to say for sure!
