Cough....: The chest discomfort is likely musculoskeletal pain due to cough. It can be due to muscle strain, cartilage inflammation, rib bruise or even fracture. The pain will resolve once the cough resolves. The cough can be due to acute bronchitis, bronchospasm, gerd, post-nasal drip or a combination of factors. Treatment depends on diagnosis so see your doctor, especially if not improving.

maybe: If you are experiencing fevers, chills, shortness of breath or other symptoms then yes i would suggest you go. If you are not then call your doctor in the morning.
