A member asked:

I'm currently taking buproprian (generic for wellbeautrin) is there a big difference between brand name mental health drugs and generic?

In some, yes: By law in the us, all generics are supposed to contain equivalent amounts of active ingredient -- but they sometimes don't. There have been problems with generic bupropion, in some cases. Also different companies use different fillers and dyes in their products -- which can result in differing effects in patients also. Please talk with your doctor & the pharmacist who dispenses your medication.

Brand/Generic: Not that big of difference, except for the cost.
