A few things: Possible causes: smoking, sun exposure, high intake of caffeine beverages, hot food, biting/licking the lips constantly, high levels of iron, vitamin b deficiency, allergic reaction. Treatment: lip balm, lemon juice, water. Avoid hot foods, tea, coffee, tobacco, and alcohol. Hope this helped :].
